Governor Mahyeldi Confirms That The MBG Kitchen In Agam Has Not Yet Bagged A Feasibility Permit

West Sumatra Governor (West Sumatra) Mahyeldi confirmed that the kitchen of the Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG) in Nagari (Village) Kampung Tangah, Lubuk Basung District, Agam Regency, has not yet obtained a feasibility permit.

"The lack of this kitchen has no feasibility yet," said West Sumatra Governor Mahyeldi in Padang, Antara, Thursday, November 2.

This was conveyed by Mahyeldi in response to 86 MBG beneficiaries who were suspected of being poisoned in Nagari Kampung Tangah, Lubuk Basung District, Agam Regency, on Wednesday.

The SPPG referred to by the Governor of West Sumatra is the MBG kitchen which provides the MBG menu in Nagari Kampung Tangah, Lubuk Basung District, Agam Regency, which leads to 86 people experiencing poisoning.

Responding to this condition, he said, the West Sumatra Provincial Government (Pemprov) together with the Task Force (Satgas) for the Acceleration of the Implementation of MBG and the Agam Regency Government (Pemkab) immediately temporarily suspended the operation of the SPPG kitchen to prevent other bad things.

He said that currently the local government together with the Task Force for the Acceleration of the Implementation of MBG are still investigating the cause of the alleged poisoning that occurred in Agam Regency.

"We don't know the exact cause yet, but the team together with the related Task Force have gone to the field to find out," said West Sumatra Governor Mahyeldi.

Governor Mahyeldi admitted that he was also surprised by the fried rice menu given by the SPPG kitchen to students in Agam Regency. Because this is considered less common to be given during the day.

"The question is, why are we having lunch on fried rice?" said the former Mayor of Padang.

He said the alleged poisoning of MBG in Agam Regency was an important lesson for all parties to be more careful in providing services to beneficiaries. Because this national program aims to improve the nutrition of children in the country.
