JAKARTA - The Nabire Resort Police (Polres) in Central Papua are still hunting for 15 inmates (prisoners) who escaped from the Class II B Nabire Correctional Institution (Lapas) on Monday, September 29 morning.
Nabire Police Chief AKBP Samuel D Tatiratu said, based on information from the Nabire Prison, the 15 inmates escaped on Monday morning at around 07.30 WIT.
"They fled through the fence at the back of the prison by tying the volley net rope in the iron at the top of the fence and climbing the wall," said Setiratu, who was contacted on Monday, by Antara.
Class II B Nabire prison is located on Jalan Pipit, Kali Harapan Village, Nabire Regency, Central Papua Province.
