Village Fund Of IDR 168 Billion Sold Out In Lanny Jaya, Papuan Police Set 9 Suspect Officials

JAYAPURA - The Directorate of Special Criminal Investigation (Ditreskrimsus) of the Papua Police through Sub-Directorate III of Corruption has named nine suspects in the alleged corruption case of village funds in Lanny Jaya Regency, Papua Mountains, with state losses reaching Rp168 billion.

Papua Police Chief Inspector General Patrige Renwarin said the state losses came from village funds channeled through the 2022 APBN and APBD 2024 with a total of Rp997 billion.

"Of the nine suspects, investigators secured Rp14.6 billion in cash along with other evidence such as land and cars," said Patrige accompanied by Dirkrimsus Kombes I Gusti Era Adhinata and Head of Public Relations of the Papua Police Kombes Cahyo Sukarnito in Jayapura, Antara, Thursday, September 25.

The nine suspects are PW, Sekda Lanny Jaya in 2022 as well as acting Regent of Lanny Jaya in 2022 2024; CMSM, head of Bank Papua Lanny Jaya Branch in 2023; JEU, interim leader of BPD Lanny Jaya in 2023; HDW, Head of BPB Papua in 2023 2024; TK, Acting Head of DPMK Lanny Jaya in 2024; YFM, coordinator of community empowerment experts; CY, community empowerment expert; AS, Secretary of DPMK; and TY, Head of Community Empowerment of Lanny Jaya Regency.

Menurut Patrige, terungkapnya kasus tersebut setelah adanya laporan dari kepala kampung yang mengaku tidak menerima dana tersebut. Tercatat 102 saksi yang sudah dimintai keterangannya dan para tersangka saat ini sudah ditahan di Mapolda Papua di Jayapura, kata Patrige.

Even though there are already nine suspects, investigators are still investigating this case, so it is possible that the number of suspects and evidence will increase.

The 9 suspects were charged with Article 2 Paragraph (1), Article 3, and Article 5 Paragraph (1) letter B of Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption.
