Director General Of The Ministry Of Health Azhar Jaya Called By The KPK Today Alleged Corruption In The Construction Of The Koltim Hospital

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) summoned two witnesses for alleged corruption in the construction of the East Kolaka Regional General Hospital (RSUD) today, September 23. One of them is Azhar Jaya as Director General of Health Services at the Ministry of Health (Kemenkes).

"The investigation was carried out at the KPK's Red and White building," said KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo to reporters in a written statement, Tuesday, September 23.

Azhar has arrived at the anti-corruption commission office since 09.55 WIB. He is still undergoing a request for information.

Apart from Azhar, investigators also summoned Aswin Grafiksa Fitranto as a witness. The President Director of PT Gaksa Cipta has complied with the investigator's summons since 10.01 WIB.

Budi has not detailed the examination material for the two of them. However, Azhar and Grapiksa are suspected of knowing the fraudulent practices related to the construction of the regional hospital.

"The KPK has scheduled an examination of witnesses suspected of being corrupt in connection with the construction of the East Kolaka Regional General Hospital (RSUD)," said Budi.

Previously reported, the KPK named the East Kolaka Regent Abdul Azis as a suspect in the alleged bribery of the construction of a regional public hospital (RSUD) along with four other people. This determination is a follow-up to the hand arrest operation (OTT) on Thursday, August 7, 2025.

Abdul Azis allegedly asked for a project fee of 8 percent or Rp9 billion from the construction of the East Kolaka Hospital, which amounted to Rp126.3 billion.

Then four suspects were also named, namely PIC of the Ministry of Health for the Development of the Andi Lukman Hakim Hospital, Commitment Making Officer (PPK) of the East Kolaka Regional Hospital Development Project Ageng Dermanto, representatives of PT Pilar Pintar Putra (PCP) Deddy Karnady, and KSO of PT PCP Arif Rahman.

Deddy Karnady and Arif Rahman as bribe givers are suspected of violating Article 5 Paragraph (1) Letter a or b or Article 13 of the Corruption Eradication Law (UU Tipikor) in conjunction with Article 55 Paragraph 1 1 of the Criminal Code.

Meanwhile, Abdul Azis, Ageng Dermanto, and Andi Lukman as bribe recipients were suspected of violating Article 12 Letter a or b or Article 11 and Article 12 B of the Anti-Corruption Law in conjunction with Article 55 Paragraph (1) of the 1st Criminal Code.
