Prabowo Will Meet BGN Partners After Returning From New York

JAKARTA - Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) Dadan Hindayana stated that President Prabowo Subianto is scheduled to meet with partners of the Free Nutrition Food Program (MBG) after attending the 80th General Assembly of the United Nations (UN), New York, United States.

"After returning from New York, the President wants to meet all partners who are already operational. He wants to talk to all partners to carry out the MBG program carefully and optimize the existing funds," Dadan said as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, September 22.

Dadan said that the President often contacted him for updates related to issues related to the MBG Program, one of which was the issue of the MBG turnover which was later suspected of containing pork oil.

"Usually the contents (of the President's phone call) are related to how many Nutrition Fulfillment Service Units (SPPGs) were established that day, then how many were served, how were the effects, menus, and others, including yesterday regarding the halal food route issue, which also caught the attention of the President, and then we explained the situation," he said.

Dadan also said that the President often demanded BGN to continue to supervise the SPPG so as not to make things inappropriate, even for small things such as giving eggs.

"For example, he is very concerned about giving eggs. So, he said that the eggs can only be cooked in two ways, one, confined, another round egg because he wants to see the eggs really one by one, so he really doesn't want the eggs to be exported or circulated because if it is circulated for seven people, it could be with five eggs," he explained.

President Prabowo Subianto arrived in New York, United States, Saturday (20/9), via Jhon F Kennedy International Airport, with a landing around 16.50 local time.

During a visit to New York, President Prabowo is scheduled to deliver a speech at the general debate session at the 80th Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UN) tomorrow, Tuesday (23/9) at 09.00 local time or 20.00 WIB.

The President is also scheduled to hold bilateral meetings with a number of world leaders. The Head of State is also scheduled to hold bilateral meetings with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres.
