3 Russian Fighter Jets Accused Of Violating NATO Air Territory, Estonia Reveals Its Tactics

JAKARTA - Russia denies its warplanes violate NATO airspace. Russia warns countries that accuse these allegations are at risk of "enhancing tensions."

Citing AFP, Monday, September 22, at least 3 Russian fighter jets are said to have entered Estonian airspace, which is a NATO member on Friday, August 19.

The Russian fighter defended Estonian air for 12 minutes before being escorted off NATO aircraft.

Estonia said Russia's MiG-31 jet tactics entered the country's airspace by flying deadlyappropriation and not interacting with Estonian air traffic controls.

Russian spokesman Dmitry Peskov denied the Estonian government's statement. He said the Russian military was operating within international legal limits, including those related to aviation.

Russia considers Estonia's statement "empty, baseless, and a continuation of a completely unstoppable state policy to increase tensions and provoke a confrontational atmosphere.
