Police Officer Playing Methamphetamine 1 Kg, US Brigadier Arrested In Pekanbaru

The Riau Regional Police's Narcotics and Drug Investigation Directorate arrested a police officer with the initials AS suspected of being involved in a 1 kilogram shabu-shabu distribution network with three colleagues.

The Head of Public Relations of the Riau Police, Kombes Anom Karabianto, when confirmed, confirmed the arrest of the individual with the rank of Brigadier. The person was arrested during the Antiquities Operation of Sub-Directorate II of the Narcotics Directorate of the Riau Police.

"It's true, we have secured the US Brigadier. He is strongly suspected of being involved in the 1 kg shabu-shabu distribution network," Anom said as quoted by ANTARA, Sunday, September 21.

Kombes Anom said the arrest was a firm action by the police against personnel involved in drug trafficking.

According to him, there is no tolerance for the police even though.

At Operation Antik Lancang Kuning 2025, arrests were made at a number of different locations. Starting from Pekanbaru City, Dumai, to Rokan Hilir (Rohil) on Wednesday to Friday, September 12, 2025.

From the hands of the perpetrators, the police confiscated evidence in the form of 1 kg of crystal methamphetamine, vehicles, and a number of cell phones used for drug transactions. The name of the US Brigadier is not actually the first time he has been in the spotlight.

As a result, AKBP Andrianto was questioned by Propam, but the results of the investigation stated that he was not proven on all these charges. On the other hand, Brigadier Alex was sentenced to 10 years of demotion through the Police's internal code of ethics trial in November 2022, after being summoned to attend the ethics trial twice.
