P2I Files, Former Bandung Regional Secretary Suspect In Bandung Zoo Corruption Case Immediately Tried

West Java High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati Jabar) handed over case files and suspects from the former Regional Secretary (Sekda) of Bandung City, Yossi Irianto, related to the corruption case of controlling state assets in the form of land at the Bandung Zoo (Bandung Zoo).

Head of the Legal Information Section (Kasi Penkum) of the West Java Prosecutor's Office, Nur Sricahyawijaya, said that the case file had been P21 and the delegation was carried out on Thursday, September 18 at the Bandung City Prosecutor's Office.

"The submission of evidence and suspects in corruption cases has been carried out against the law in the form of assets of the Bandung City Government," said Nur in Bandung, Friday, confiscated by Antara.

Nur explained that the suspect Yossi Irianto had been detained by the Kebonwaru Bandung detention center for the next 20 days, so that later the case files could be transferred to court.

"The suspect was detained for the next 20 days starting from September 18, 2025 to October 7 in accordance with the detention warrant," he said.

Previously, the West Java Prosecutor's Office had detained Yossi Irianto in May 2025 after being named a suspect based on the Decree of the Head of the West Java Prosecutor's Office Number: TAP-37/M.2/Fd.2/05/2025.

The West Java Prosecutor's Office has also named two other suspects in this case, namely two high-ranking officials of the Tamansari Bandung Wildlife Foundation, Raden Bisma Bratakoesoema and Sri Devi, suspected of abusing nearly 140 thousand square meters of land on Tamansari Street.

The land, which has the status of Regional Property (BMD), has been leased since 2005, but the lease agreement expires on November 30, 2007.

Even though the agreement has ended, the foundation still manages the zoo without paying rent to the regional treasury. From 2017 to 2020, the defendant allegedly received rental money of up to IDR 6 billion which was used for personal gain.
