JAKARTA - The reason Tyler Robinson killed conservative and loyale influencer Donald Trump, Charlie Kirk, was revealed in court documents.
The court file included a conversation between Robinson's parents and his son. The father asked about the reason for the murder and Robinson answered because Kirk was considered to have often spread information that caused hostility.
"Too much crime and that guy [Charlie Kirk] spread too much hatred," the court file was quoted as saying by ABC News, Wednesday, September 17.
Robinson, 22, underwent his first virtual trial on Tuesday, September 16 local time. The judge read out the indictment against the perpetrator in the trial.
Utah District Attorney Jeff Gray said Robinson was charged with a mass shooting that caused serious body injuries, obstructed the judicial proceedings, as well as two counts of destruction of witnesses, and committed acts of violence in the presence of a child.
Robinson faces the death penalty for the murder of Charlie Kirk at an event at the University of Utah Valley, USA, on September 10.
