Prabowo Arrives In Doha To Meet Emir Qatar

JAKARTA - Prabowo Subianto arrived in Doha, Qatar, to hold a meeting with the Emir of Qatar, His Excellency Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani after the Israeli attack in the country.

The President's arrival at Doha International Airport was welcomed by Qatar Defense Minister Sheikh Saoud Bin Abdulrahman Bin Hassan Bin Ali Al-Thani, Indonesian Ambassador to Doha Ridwan Hassan, and Indonesian Embassy Defense Attache Doha Colonel Tengku Sony Sonata.

Not only that, President Prabowo's arrival was also welcomed by the ranks of honor who accompanied the President's move to the vehicle.

After coming from the airport, the Head of State and a limited entourage went straight to the Lusail Palace, Doha to meet with Emir Qatar.

In his statement in Doha, Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya conveyed the main agenda in Doha, namely to meet with Emir Qatar.

According to Cabinet Secretary Teddy, this President's decision is a form of Indonesia's direct solidarity with Qatar after the Israeli attack on Doha that occurred on Tuesday (9/9).

"Yes, that's right, today President Prabowo flew to Doha, Qatar to meet directly with Emir Qatar, afternoon local time," said Seskab Teddy as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, September 12.

The president decided to come to Qatar immediately after the Israeli attack on Doha (Tuesday yesterday). This is a form of Indonesian solidarity and support directly for the Qatari government and people," he continued.

Since the beginning, the President has shown his attention by directly asking Sheikh Tamim about Qatar's condition by telephone on Wednesday (10/9).

Indonesia also emphasized its consistency in supporting Qatar sovereignty and peace in the Middle East region.

In addition to global issues, strengthening cooperation between the two countries is also a topic of discussion of President Prabowo and Emir Qatar.

With this meeting, the long-standing relationship between Indonesia and Qatar is expected to be closer in facing global challenges.

President Prabowo's arrival to Doha reflects Indonesia's commitment to play an active role in international diplomacy.

This is in accordance with the state objectives contained in the Preamble to the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia, which is to participate in implementing world order based on independence, eternal peace, and social justice.
