Japan Urges Israel To Ceasefire In Gaza After Action In Doha Qatar

JAKARTA - The Japanese government has criticized Israel for its attempts to frame Doha, Qatar, which violates the territory of other countries in an attempt to kill Hamas officials.

Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshimasa Hayashi said Israel's actions undermined diplomatic peace efforts and threatened Qatar's sovereignty and security.

Hayashi stressed that this Israeli attack was clearly the stability of the region.

"Our country strongly condemns this," he said, Wednesday, September 10, quoted by AN Japan.

Hayashi stressed that the international community must immediately encourage the Israeli government to engage in ceasefire negotiations. That's because the impact of Israel's widespread attacks has violated many international law.

"Achieving a ceasefire in Gaza and releasing hostages is an urgent issue," he said.

Hayashi said achieving peace and stability in the Middle East was an important issue. Japan, he said, called for all parties to refrain from any actions that undermine regional stability.

"We express our solidarity with Qatar and urge Israel to immediately re-negotiate and sincerely seek to reach a ceasefire and release the hostages," Hayashi said.
