2 British Citizens Paid IDR 82 Million Circulation Of Cocaine On The Island Of Bali

DENPASAR - The National Narcotics Agency (BNN) of Bali Province arrested two foreign nationals from England, KG (29) and PE (48) who were suspected of smuggling cocaine from Barcelona, Spain to Bali.

"Initially they lived in Thailand, then met in Barcelona. After that, one of them went first to Bali (PE), waiting for the goods to be brought to Bali," said Head of BNN Bali Province Brigadier General Rudy Ahmad Sudrajat, Tuesday, September 9.

Rudy suspects that both are part of an international network of drug syndicates that make Bali a place for drug trafficking.

Meanwhile, Bali BNNP Eradication Expert Investigator Kombes Tri Kuncoro stated that the heavy evidence confiscated from the two suspects in the form of cocaine reached 1,321 grams.

Both are suspected to be accomplices to a man named Santos who is still being hunted by BNN.

Tri explained that the two foreigners initially lived in Thailand, and were ordered by Santos (DPO) to take goods at Barcelona, Spain to be brought to Bali.

The meeting was confirmed by the two suspects KG and PE.

To officers, KG and PE explained that the two had met in Barcelona, Spain about a week before being arrested.

The case was uncovered on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at around 20.30 WITA, where the Ngurah Rai Airport Customs and Excise officer suspected that a passenger would pass the officer's examination.

After an inspection procedure was carried out using an X-Ray machine on passenger belongings known to have the initials KG, officers found evidence suspected of being narcotics Category I, a type of cocaine weighing 1,321 grams net which was stored in a bag.

When arrested by BNN officers, KG explained that the person concerned was ordered by a person named Santos to bring the bag containing cocaine from Barcelona, Spain to Bali to be handed over to someone at a villa in Kerobokan, North Kuta, Badung Regency which he had rented.

Therefore, the next Thursday, September 4, 2025, at around 02.30 WITA, the goods were taken to the villa in question. At that time, PE was known to be a British citizen who came to meet KG to take a bag in which there was a cocaine type of narcotics on the orders of someone named Santos.

Tri explained that the cocaine between the two perpetrators was promised US $ 5,000 per person or equivalent to Rp. 82 million.

"The goods are planned to be sold to their community in Bali, namely foreigners. In Bali there are many foreign communities, which of course target fellow foreigners because the price of cocaine is very expensive," said Tri.

The two of them only surrendered when presented at a press conference in Denpasar, Tuesday. They were charged with Article 113 Paragraph (2) Juncto Article 132 Paragraph (1) or Article 112 Paragraph (2) Jo. Article 132 Paragraph (1) of the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics.
