Cak Imin: Different Opinions Are Reasonable, As Long As You Don't Get Divided Easily

JAKARTA - Chairman of the DPP National Awakening Party (PKB), Abdul Muhaimin Iskandar or who is familiarly called Cak Imin, invites all elements of the nation to maintain a conducive, peaceful, and respectful national atmosphere in the midst of a less conducive situation in Jakarta and a number of other areas.

This was conveyed by Cak Imin so that people would not be trapped in protracted polarization, as well as to reduce the potential for division that could harm national unity.

"There is no other way for us. Let's take care of this situation together, respect each other, respect each other. Different opinions are common in democracy. But please, don't let us become a nation that is easily divided," said Cak Imin after attending the National Safety Prayer in Jakarta, Saturday, August 30.

According to the Coordinating Minister for the Empowerment of Indonesian Society, the challenges faced by Indonesia today can only be overcome if all components of the nation unite and are willing to carry out collective self-evaluation. Both legislative, executive, and broad society institutions need to reflect on their respective roles and contributions in the nation's journey.

"One of our efforts is to evaluate ourselves. The DPR evaluates, the government evaluates, we all organize ourselves. Let's repeat the successful journey and stop the failure," said Cak Imin.

Cak Imin also emphasized the importance of togetherness, solidarity, and the spirit of mutual cooperation in building a better future for Indonesia. He also invited the public to continue to pray for the progress of the nation.

The former deputy chairman of the DPR also encouraged all levels of society to unite under the leadership of President Prabowo Subianto to jointly overcome various problems and challenges of the nation that are happening, in order to create a just, prosperous, and dignified Indonesia.

"Therefore, let's unite again under the leadership of President Prabowo. And let's pray continuously, so that our country can progress immediately, immediately escape the various difficulties that are being faced," concluded Cak Imin.
