JAKARTA - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) predicts a number of areas in Indonesia, on Monday, August 11, have the potential to experience rain accompanied by lightning.

Quoted from the BMKG Instagram account (@infobmkg), Monday, on the island of Sumatra, the potential for rain accompanied by lightning is expected to occur in Padang, Palembang, and Bengkulu.

Meanwhile, Banda Aceh is forecasted to be thick cloudy, Tanjung Pinang and Pekanbaru have light rain, Medan has moderate rain, and Jambi, Pangkal Pinang, and Bandar Lampung have light rain.

On the island of Java, rain accompanied by lightning has the potential to occur in Bandung, while light rain is expected to occur in Serang, Jakarta, Semarang, and Yogyakarta. Meanwhile, Surabaya has the potential to experience running air.

For the islands of Bali and Nusa Tenggara, the weather is expected to be cloudy and cloudy in Denpasar, Mataram, and Kupang.

On the island of Kalimantan, rain accompanied by lightning has the potential to occur in Palangkaraya and Banjarmasin. Meanwhile, in Pontianak, Tanjung Selor, and Samarinda light rain is forecast.
