The River Is Full Of Garbage In Serang Highlighted By The Deputy Governor Of Banten, Minimal Infrastructure Impressed Like Ruralism

BANTEN - Deputy Governor of Banten Achmad Dimyati Natakusumah assessed that the issue of cleanliness is still the largest homework that must be immediately handled by the Serang City Government.

"We synergize to build the city of Serang. The biggest homework is cleanliness. Even if the infrastructure is not maximized, cleanliness must be good, especially waste management so that the environment becomes beautiful," he said after attending the Serang City DPRD Plenary Meeting to commemorate the 18th Anniversary of Serang City, in Serang City, Antara, Sunday, August 10.

Dimyati emphasized that good environmental arrangement is the first step in advancing the capital city of Banten Province. He gave an example of a number of cities in East Java, Central Java, and West Java that make environmental cleanliness, including rivers, the foundation of development.

According to him, the condition of the river in Serang City, which is still filled with garbage, must be a serious concern.

"We see a lot of garbage in the river, this is the biggest homework from the Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Serang," he said.

He also acknowledged that Serang City's infrastructure was still inadequate, causing an impression like rural areas. Even so, he is optimistic that the leadership of the Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Serang is currently able to bring positive changes.

"I see a new spirit from the city government and the ranks of the bureaucracy to bring change to a better area," said Dimyati.

Serang Mayor Budi Rustandi said his party had taken a number of steps to organize the city to go to a more advanced and prosperous area.

"What we have been working on in these six months, there are many urban planning activities, including infrastructure that will gradually be repaired with assistance from the province," he said.

Budi emphasized that his work program is in line with the direction of the provincial government. I work according to the governor's direction to make a city worthy. What I have been doing for six months is in accordance with the instructions of the Banten Provincial Government," he said.
