The Ministry Of Social Affairs Investigate The Findings Of Social Assistance Recipients With Doctors-Managers

Minister of Social Affairs Saifullah Yusuf accompanied by Deputy Minister of Social Affairs Agus Jabo explained the findings of the Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK) related to the anomaly of accounts of recipients of social assistance/ANTARA

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Social Affairs is investigating the findings of thousands of accounts of beneficiaries of social assistance (bansos) which are indicated to be unnatural because they are registered as BUMN employees, doctors and company managers.

"That's the initial information received by PPATK from the bank when the person concerned opened an account, they claimed to be BUMN employees or other professions," said Social Minister Saifullah Yusuf in Jakarta, Thursday, August 7, as reported by ANTARA.

This was revealed after the Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK) found a number of social assistance recipient accounts with unreasonable work status, such as 27,932 BUMN employees, 7,479 doctors, and more than 6,000 people working as executives or managerials during the first half of this year.

Sebagaimana peraturan Menteri Sosial Nomor 1/2018 Tentang Program Keluarga Harapan (PKH) pihak yang layak menerima manfaat di antaranya adalah masyarakat miskin dan miskin ekstrem yang terdaftar dalam Data Terpadu Kesejahteraan Sosial (DTKS), sekarang menjadi Data Sole Sosial Ekonomi Nasional (DTSEN).

According to Saifullah, the findings are currently in the process of being deepened by the Ministry of Social Affairs together with PPATK and other relevant authorities at the central and regional levels.

The verification will be carried out carefully so that there is no wrong assistance from the Ministry of Social Affairs and if it is proven that the recipient is not feasible, the account will be blocked and the assistance will be transferred to those who are more entitled.

"We don't want to rush. It will take time because the principle must be accountable, if it is not in accordance with all of us, we will evaluate it," he said, adding that this step was part of the government's transparency in distributing just and data-based social assistance according to President Prabowo Subianto's direction.
