JAKARTA - The Indonesian Forest Entrepreneurs Association (APHI) has distributed assistance in handling the corona virus or COVID-19. The aid distributed was in the form of masks, personal protective equipment, disinfectants, and basic necessities.

APHI Chairman Indroyono Soesilo said this assistance was distributed to the Ministry of Environment and Forestry to help accelerate the handling of the corona virus outbreak by the government.

"We are working on supporting and personal protective equipment for these medical personnel, including importing themselves from China by charter aircraft, because doctors, nurses and medical technicians are struggling on the front lines at this time," he said.

Furthermore, the Director of Asia Pulp and Paper (APP) Sinar Mas Suhendra Wiriadinata stated that his reason for providing assistance was based on a sense of responsibility and concern in helping the Government of Indonesia's program to handle COVID-19.

"We continue to monitor the developments and the latest situation of the spread of COVID-19. We will fully support the disaster management measures and programs that have been established by the Government," added Suhendra.
