Students Of SMKN 4 Semarang Shot By Police When Disbanding Brawl, The Perpetrator Is Now Being Examined

SEMARANG - Police said that GRO, a student of SMKN 4 Semarang, Central Java, who died with gunshot wounds, was suspected of being the perpetrator of an inter-gangster brawl that occurred around the Simongan area, West Semarang on Sunday (24/11) in the early hours of the morning.

Semarang Police Chief Kombes Irwan Anwar said the police who were trying to break up the inter-gangster brawl were forced to defend themselves by firing firearms.

Kombes Irwan explained that the incident began when members of the Semarang Police Narcotics Investigation Unit who came home passed by the brawl location.

"Members are trying to break up the brawls from the two different groups," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, November 25.

However, he continued, there were efforts to attack the members who would intervene so that decisive action was taken.

According to Kombes Irwan, the victim suffered a gunshot wound to the hip.

The police chief explained that the member who shot immediately provided assistance with several opponents of the victim's brawl by taking him to the hospital.

While at the victim's identity hospital, it is not yet known because the group against the brawl that provided assistance did not know anyone.

"It was only Sunday morning at around 10 o'clock that the identity of the victim was identified and notified to his family," he said.

In handling the inter-gangster brawl in West Semarang, the police arrested 12 perpetrators, of whom 4 were named suspects.

According to him, the members suspected of shooting the victim are currently in the development stage.

"The person concerned is under investigation at Paminal," he said.

Previously, a class XI student at SMKN 4 Semarang City, with the initials GRO, was reported to have died allegedly from gunshot wounds to his body.

The resident of Kembangarum, Semarang City, was buried by his family in Sragen on Sunday afternoon.
