JAKARTA - Former Governor of West Java, Ridwan Kamil, will undergo a series of DNA tests in handling cases of alleged defamation he reported against Lisa Mariana, today.
His attorney, Muslim Jaya Butarbutar stated that the sampling process for DNA examination will be carried out at the Police Criminal Investigation Unit.
"God willing (Ridwan Kamil) will be present," Muslim told VOI, Thursday, August 7.
With the implementation of this DNA test, it is hoped that it can immediately resolve the accusations made by Lisa Mariana.
His client, said Muslim, would respect the results of the DNA test, whatever the decision.
"According to schedule, the sooner the better. The sooner the better," he said.

Ridwan Kamil previously reported Lisa Mariana to the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police on suspicion of defamation on April 11, 2025. The report was recorded with the number LP/B/174/IV/2025/SPKT/BARESKRIM POLRI.
He reported Lisa for alleged violations of Article 51 paragraph (1) Jo. Article 35, Article 48 paragraph (1), (2) Jo. Article 32 paragraph (1), (2), Article 45 paragraph (4) Jo. Article 27A in Law Number 1 of 2024 concerning Information and Electronic Transactions (ITE).
The investigation was handled by the Directorate of Cyber Crime (Dittipidsiber) of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Police.
