Motorbike Strikes Mass Because Pertalite Contents Enter Biosolar, North Meruya Gas Station Temporarily Closed Pertamina

PT Pertamina Patra Niaga temporarily closed the operation of 34,116,12 gas stations in North Meruya, West Jakarta, after complaints emerged from a number of consumers who experienced motorbikes breaking down after refueling the Pertalite type of fuel oil (BBM).

"This SPBU is a private gas station and we have given strict sanctions in the form of temporary closure for a thorough investigation," said the Area Manager of Communication, Relations & CSR of Pertamina Patra Niaga, West Java Regional, Susanto August Satria, when confirmed from Jakarta, Antara, Tuesday, August 5.

According to Satria, Pertamina Patra Niaga applies strict standards in the quality and safety of fuel distribution. Therefore, any violation will be dealt with firmly without compromise.

Regarding the affected consumers, the gas station is said to have provided compensation in the form of repair of vehicles to workshops and refilling fuel with Pertamax.

"Consumers who report problems at gas stations have been handled. Pertamina Patra Niaga is fully committed to serving the community at all gas stations, both directly and privately, to protect consumer rights," said Satria.

He added that his party will continue to strengthen the quality and distribution control system, as well as improve the competence of gas station partners throughout Indonesia.

"We apologize for the incident and continue to strengthen the fuel quality control and control system so that similar incidents do not happen again. We appreciate the community who proactively report and provide input for better service," said Satria.

Meanwhile, the Manager of SPBU 34,116,12,vistors Sitorus, admitted that there was a procedural error that caused a number of motorbikes to strike after filling up fuel at the gas station.
