PDIP Politician: Today Megawati Gives A Political Speech, Has Not Announced The Management Structure

PDIP politician Deddy Yevri Sitorus said the General Chairperson of the PDI-P (PDIP) DPP, Megawati Soekarnoputri, would not announce the composition of the management of the Central Leadership Council (DPP) for the 2025 '30 period. Megawati, he said, was scheduled to only give a political speech in the closing of the PDIP VI Congress in Nusa Dua, Bali, Saturday, August 2.

Deddy called Megawati's speech the main agenda in the second day of the congress. He also stated that the decision on management was entirely in Megawati's hands.

"For the DPP, we are waiting for Mrs. Megawati Soekarnoputri's decision. It could be announced today like the previous congressions, but it does not rule out the possibility that it will not be done today," said Deddy, in his statement, Saturday, August 2.

According to Deddy, Megawati did not have to immediately announce the DPP structure today, considering that according to the rules, the party still has a maximum of 30 days to convey the management arrangements to the Ministry of Law and Human Rights in order to obtain legal approval.

"We are given a period of time through regulations, no later than 30 days to provide a list of management to the Ministry of Law and Human Rights," explained Deddy.

When asked about the possibility of a refresher at the DPP level, Deddy appealed to the public not to speculate first.

"If that's the case I can't speculate yet, but a refresh will definitely be done. But whether it will be done today, tomorrow, the day after tomorrow, or next week, it will only be known from the speech of the General Chairperson," he said.

Deddy also emphasized that today's main focus was not on announcing the DPP structure, but on the General Chair's political speech as a closing part of the Congressional series.

"This afternoon's agenda until this afternoon is actually the biggest political speech, especially to close the ke-VI Congress by the General Chair," he said.
