JAKARTA - US President Donald Trump warned Iran he would order a new US attack on Iran's nuclear facilities if Tehran tries to reactivate the facility that the United States bombed last month.

Trump issued the threat as he spoke with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer at his Turnberry golf resort on the west coast of Scotland.

Iran, which denies it is trying to develop nuclear weapons, insists it will not stop the enrichment of domestic uranium despite the bombing of three nuclear sites.

Trump told reporters Iran had sent "bad signals" and any attempt to restart its nuclear program would soon be discontinued.

"We have destroyed their nuclear potential. They can start again. If they do, we will destroy it faster than you can raise your finger," Trump said.

Iran's President Masoud Pezeshkian, previously stated that efforts by the United States and Israel to halt Tehran's nuclear program were futile, calling the idea of ending it an "illution".

Pezeshkian also vowed Iran would continue enrichment of uranium in accordance with international legal frameworks, the Tasnim semi-official news agency reported on Wednesday.

"These efforts are based on illusions," Pezeshkian said in an interview with Al Jazeera Qatar.

He referred to statements by US officials, including former President Donald Trump, who stated Iran's nuclear infrastructure had been neutralized.

Our nuclear capability lies in the minds of our scientists, not in the facilities, said Pezeshkian.

Pezeshkian also reiterated Iran's old position, its country has no intention of owning nuclear weapons, citing political, religious and strategic commitments.

"We firmly reject the possession of nuclear weapons. This is our position in a political, religious, humanitarian and strategic manner," he said.
