5 Hours Prabowo Discussed With 82 Young Professionals In Hambalang

JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto discussed for more than five hours with 82 young professionals in economics and business at the private residence of the President of the Republic of Indonesia in Bukit Hambalang, Bogor Regency, West Java.

Cabinet Secretary (Seskab) Teddy Indra Wijaya, who also attended the discussion, explained that the 82 young professionals were alumni of various well-known universities at home and abroad, and they were members of the Presidential Fellowship in Economics & Business Leadership program which was initiated directly by President Prabowo.

"In this meeting for more than 5 hours, President Prabowo listened to the presentation, asked questions and exchanged views on the latest developments in science and technology, as well as the business world and the economy," said Seskab Teddy as quoted by ANTARA, Saturday, July 26.

In several photos shared by the Cabinet Secretariat, the event was filled with a briefing session by President Prabowo to young professionals who received the Presidential Fellowship in Economics & Business Leadership. Then, several participants also presented their thoughts for Indonesia's development in front of President Prabowo.

Some of the presentation titles presented in front of President Prabowo include National Health Sovereignty: Control of Modern Medicine Technology and Medical Devices, Towards Self-Reliance in Advanced Materials and Semiconductor, then there is also Toward Zero Fuel Import for National Energy Sovereignty.

Cabinet Secretary explained that the Presidential Fellowship in Economics & Business Leadership is a scholarship specifically given by President Prabowo to young professionals who they are expected to become leaders in their respective fields. The search and selection of thefellowship recipients is carried out strictly by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology.

Of the 82 young professionals, there is Prof. (HC.UA). Dr. Carina Citra Dewi Joe, B.Sc., M.Sc., Ph.D., which is also popular with the name Carina Joe. The young scientist is the discoverer of the Oxford COVID-19 vaccine AstraZeneca.

Carina on December 20, 2023 was also confirmed as an Honorary Professor (Honoris Causa) at Airlangga University.

In the Presidential Fellowship in Economics & Business Leadership program, Carina together with other researchers, namely Ade Faisal, Fikrah Auliyaurrahman, Rangga Pratama, and Vanny Narita explained about national health sovereignty, and mastery of drug technology and modern medical devices.

"Through this program, it is hoped that new leaders will emerge to fill various strategic positions in the business and economic sectors born to talented Indonesian youth who have experience from within and outside the country," said Seskab Teddy explaining the purpose of the Presidential Fellowship in Economics & Business Leadership program.
