JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung asked the ranks of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government to implement artificial intelligence (AI) technology in all fields of programs and policies.
This is expressed in the focus of the discussion group (FGD) for the preparation of a roadmap for the implementation of artificial intelligence (AI) in Jakarta.
"I am one of those who ask the ranks of the bureaucracy in the city hall government, the DKI Jakarta government to be able to adopt what is the advantage of artificial intelligence," said Pramono at DKI Jakarta City Hall, Thursday, July 24.
According to Pramono, AI has great potential to increase bureaucratic efficiency, accelerate public services, improve urban planning, and encourage increased regional income in a structured and sustainable manner.
"I ask the ranks of the DKI Provincial Government bureaucracy to be able to adopt what is an excess of AI. I hope that the recurrence of data can be resolved with AI. For example, related to traffic, KJP, KJMU, KTP, Jakarta One, mapping, JAKI," said Pramono.
One of the programs that have used AI is the application of Intelligent Traffic Control System (ITCS) to regulate traffic flows to make them more effective and efficient.

So far, the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency has installed ITCS at 65 points. The target is that this traffic decomposition technology will be added at 300 intersection points. Pramono assessed that the implementation of ITCS has been able to reduce congestion in Jakarta.
I have seen for myself why Jakarta's traffic jams have significantly decreased. In my opinion, it's not just because of Transjabodetabek, but Artificial Intelligence is also helpful," he explained.
On that occasion, Pramono added, the biggest challenge is not just building a sophisticated system, but ensuring that this system can really be felt by the community.
"With the implementation of AI within the DKI Provincial Government, this will make Jakarta more modern and ready to become a global city. Currently, Jakarta is improving in that direction," he added.
