JAKARTA - The Bandung City Police (Polresta) is investigating the case of the beating of a man with the initials A in Baleendah District which resulted in the victim's death.
Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Bandung Police, Kompol Luthfi Olot Gigantara, said that the beating occurred on July 8 and the victim was declared dead on July 17, 2025.

"We have identified the victim, namely the initials A, which is currently buried and plans to carry out an exhumation on Saturday," he said.

Luthfi explained that the family had just reported the incident after the victim died. After receiving the report, the police immediately moved to investigate the crime scene (TKP) and collect evidence.
"We immediately processed the crime scene and checked the crime scene and coordinated with the forensic doctor for immediate exhumation, to find out the exact cause of death of the victim," he said.
He suspected that there was more than one perpetrator of the beating. The investigation was carried out by collecting witness testimony and tracing CCTV footage at the scene.
