Brigadier General Prasetijo Ethical Session Has Not Held, Propam Polri: Re-examined

JAKARTA - The National Police is preparing an ethics trial for Brigadier General Prasetijo Utomo. He has been found guilty by the panel of judges regarding the case of removing red notice for Joko Tjandra.

"Preparing the trial equipment," said Head of Propam Polri Inspector General Ferdy Sambo to reporters, Wednesday, May 5.

The preparation of the trial apparatus referred to, said Sambo, was like referring judges and members. Later, the names will be submitted to the Police Chief.

"Yes, the chairman of the trial commission, members, we are submitting it to the police chief. Preparation for the trial," he said.

Sambo also emphasized that the trial process is quite long. The reason was that Propam investigators had to re-examine Prasetijo even though the speech process was already irregular. Brigadier General Prasetijo Utomo was found guilty.

"We have to double check. Every member of the National Police who commits a criminal act will definitely proceed to the ethics trial," he said.

Brigjen Prasetijo Utomo was sentenced to imprisonment for 3 years and 6 months. This is because he was proven to have received 100 thousand US dollars.

He was found guilty because when he was the Head of the Supervisory Coordinating Bureau (Karo Korwas) of the National Police Criminal Investigation Unit, he received 100 thousand US dollars from Joko Tjandra through Tommy Sumardi.
