The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is investigating the management of coal mines to resolve the case of metric ton gratification of coal mines that ensnared former Kutai Kartanegara Regent Rita Widyasari.

KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo said four witnesses had been examined, one of which was Mudyat Noor, who is the Regent of North Penajam Paser. He was questioned at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta on Tuesday, June 17.

"The material is all related to the role of witnesses in the management of coal mines related to RW," Budi told reporters in a written statement, Wednesday, June 18.

Apart from Mudyat, the other three witnesses summoned were Jeffry F. Pandie, Rino Eri Rachman, Sukianty Yenliwana, and Khalid Kasim as private parties.
