JAKARTA - As many as 60 percent of citizens of the United States (US) have refused to intervene in the conflict between Israel and Iran, according to a poll conducted by YouGov and The Economist.
News portal Axios reports US President Donald Trump is seriously considering the possibility of the US being involved in the conflict in the Middle East, including launching attacks on Iran's nuclear facilities, particularly the underground uranium enrichment center at Fordow.
As reported by ANTARA from Sputnik-OANA, Wednesday, June 18, only 16 percent of respondents at the poll supported the involvement of the American military, while another 24 percent said they did not know or had not yet made a decision.
On the other hand, the majority of respondents (56 percent) supported US involvement in negotiations with Iran regarding the country's nuclear program, while 18 percent of other respondents opposed it.
The survey was conducted on June 13'16 involving more than 1,500 respondents from all over the US.
