IRGC Claims Attack on Two Jordanian Bases Targets US Combat Equipment

JAKARTA - The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) of Iran stated that it targeted US military equipment at two Jordanian bases the night before.

The IRGC said the King Faisal Base in Ma'an Governorate and Prince Hassan Base in Mafraq Governorate were attacked using missiles and drones in response to US air and missile attacks on Iran.

As reported by CNN, Wednesday, July 22, the IRGC claimed to target facilities that prepare F-15 jets, MQ-9 drones, and US helicopters. There is no evidence to support Iran's claim.

A video released by the IRGC showed the launch of the missile, although the location of the launch was not clearly shown. The video featured a message attached to the missile that read: "As long as you continue to interfere with the security of the Iranian people, none of you will be safe. You will soon find out in a few minutes."

In a written statement, Iran said the US should bear the heavy consequences for violating the agreement.

"If the aggressor is not punished, they will feel they can start a war whenever they want and end it when they are under pressure, thus repeating the cycle of war, negotiations, then war again, and constantly shadowing us with the threat of war," said the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.

"If the aggression continues, we are ready to launch an operation that will cause deep regret and lead to the establishment of a national day of mourning in the United States," the statement continued.
