Police Examine 5 UNILA Students Investigate Death Suspected Victim Of Violence Diksar Nature Lovers

LAMPUNG - Lampung Regional Police (Polda) asked for information from five witnesses participating in basic education (diksar) students who love the University of Lampung (Unila) related to the death of a student at the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) Unila.

"Today, the victim's mother, Pratama Wijaya Kusuma, and five of her friends who are participants in the Mahapel FEB Diksar will be questioned by the Lampung Police," said the attorney for the victim's family, Icen Amsterly, at the Lampung Police Headquarters, Thursday, June 5, as reported by Antara.

A Unila student, Pratama Wijaya Kusuma, is suspected of being a victim of physical violence while attending the mapala diksar in the Mount Betung area, Pesawaran Regency, Lampung, on November 14, 2024.

"Yes, we fulfilled the summons from the Lampung Regional Police as a witness regarding the case of the death of Pratama Wijaya. To the police, we also submitted a medical record from the hospital and a death certificate," he said.

He also said that based on information from five friends of the victim, while participating in the diksar activity they received acts of violence by their seniors.

"The confession of these friends, during the activity, they got beaten and kicked until they were trampled on. Including the victim Pratama who drank the spirit," he said.

Meanwhile, the Director of Criminal Investigation at the Lampung Police, Police Commissioner Pahala Simanjuntak, said that his party would summon related parties involved in the allegedly unnatural death of Pratama Wijaya.

"In addition to the diksar participants, we will also summon the committee and senior Diksar Mahapel FEB, as well as the hospital that handled the victim for the first time, including the doctor who examined or conducted a post-mortem on the victim, to determine whether the activity contained elements of violating the law or criminal acts in it," he said.
