BOGOR Bogor Mayor, Dedie A. Rachim, accompanied the Commander of the Kodim (Dandim) 0606/Bogor City, Colonel Inf Dwi Agung Prihanto, and Danyonif 315/Garuda, Lt. Col. Inf. Bistok Barry Simarmata, reviewing location plans for training, care, and coaching for children who need guidance.

The place will be prioritized for high school or equivalent children, with the implementation involving the West Java Provincial Branch Office (KCD), the Bogor City Regional Indonesian Child Protection Commission (KPAID), psychologists, and various related parties.

The coaching location is at the Yonif 315/Garuda headquarters, Gunung Batu, Bogor City. This place has a capacity of up to 100 people, consisting of 80 male participants and 20 female participants.

"The place is already there, we are preparing the technical, budget, and the coach is also ready. The Battalion Commander will carry out the program according to instructions from the Governor of West Java, with the guidance of Dandim 0606/Bogor City," said Dedie Rachim, Sunday, June 1.

He added that the approach of parents is very important. Parents will be asked to state that they are no longer able to nurture their children, so they need to follow this coaching program.

This program is planned to start in June or July for the first batch, with registration opening through the Bogor City Education Office.

"It is more appropriate if registration is carried out at the Education Office, because this concerns the path of guidance and education. The material must also involve teachers, KPAI, psychologists, and other parties who can assist so that the program runs optimally," he said.

Meanwhile, Colonel Inf Dwi Agung Prihanto said that learning materials would be adjusted to school levels, so that they remained in line with the applicable curriculum. In addition, there will be guidance and care outside of study hours.

"Caring materials will be provided by coaches from Yonif 315/Garuda members, ranging from getting up early to bedtime. They will be guided intensively," he explained.

The guidance provided includes character development and discipline, which is adjusted to the age of participants.

Lt. Col. Inf. Bistok Barry Simarmata added that the facilities and infrastructure in Infantry Battalion 315/Garuda were ready. The headquarters had previously also been used for similar training activities.

"From the accommodation side, such as beds, bathrooms, to toilets, we are ready and according to standards. The coaches also have the competence to provide guidance and care to children," he said.
