JAKARTA - The Mayor of Medan, Bobby Nasutipn, said that every policy that is born must increase goodness in order to bring blessings.

"Every policy must add kindness. Policies that do not provide goodwill not bring prosperity to the community”, said Bobby as quoted on Monday, May 3

That way, Kahiyang Ayu's husband hopes that the mandate given to him to become 'parents' for the people of Medan can be carried out properly.

"Hopefully this mandate given can bring blessings to Medan", said Bobby.

President Joko Widodo's son-in-law also talked about COVID-19. He said that this virus not only had an impact on health but also the economy. Not a few MSME entrepreneurs have been hit by this pandemic. The government can help by creating policies that ease the burden on MSMEs and provide stimulus.

"Because of that, I encourage all Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD) in the Medan Municipal Government to protect the MSMEs. We also invite the MSMEs to make Medan City Government the end of the downstream process. This means that the Medan City Government must be a consumer of MSME players. Of course, this requires a process and time. Therefore, at this early stage, I also encourage the MSMEs to enter the E-Catalog", said the Mayor.

At that time, the Mayor also explained about Kesawan City Walk. He said, in addition to providing space for MSME actors, this program also keeps the cultural heritage in the Kesawan area maintained and not changed by its owner. And this effort has received attention from the central government.

"This afternoon I met a team formed by the Ministry of Public Works and Human Settlements (PUPR) which has conducted a survey to accelerate the improvement of the Kesawan area", said Mayor Bobby Nasution.
