Prabowo Talks To Macron His Closeness To France

JAKARTA - Presiden Prabowo Subianto mengungkapkan kepada Presiden Prancis Emmanuel Macron terkait dirinya secara pribadi dan keluarga yang memiliki kedekatan khusus dengan negara Prancis.

This was conveyed by President Prabowo at the moment of the official state banquet with President Macron and French First Lady Brigitte Macron at the State Palace, Jakarta, Wednesday, May 28.

"President Macron and Mother's visit also has a special meaning because I personally and my family feel that I have a special relationship with France," the President said as quoted by ANTARA.

After conveying this, President Macron, who sits beside President Prabowo's right, seemed to smile.

The closeness of President Prabowo's family to the French state can be illustrated through his only son, Ragowo Hediprasetyo Djojohadikusumo, or commonly called Didiet who is known to be proficient in French because he has lived in the country for a long time.

At the State Welcome ceremony at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, Wednesday morning, President Prabowo Subianto appeared to have introduced Didiet to French President Emmanuel Macron and French First Lady Brigitte Macron.

Didiet was also seen talking fun with Brigitte Macron who sat beside his right during the state banquet.

Didiet is a graduate of the Partons School of Design (Darkole Parsonsmen Paris), one of the well-known campuses in Paris that focuses on art and design.

The son of President Prabowo, who is also the grandson of the 2nd President, Suharto, is also known to have lived and had a career as a designer in Paris, France.

For Prabowo, the visit of President Macron and his delegation is also an honor for the relations between the two countries that have existed for 75 years.

During President Macron's state visit, Indonesia and France also agreed on 21 cooperation in various fields, both military and defense, to the Free Nutrition Food (MBG) program carried out between governments, between institutions, and private partnerships.

"Today we have carried out intensive and productive talks and together we are determined, committed to continuing this cooperation as well as possible," said the President.
