JAKARTA - The South Kalimantan Regional Police are ready to secure 827 polling stations (TPS) for the implementation of the re-voting for the election of the Governor and Deputy Governor of South Kalimantan.

Re-voting will be conducted in seven sub-districts from three regencies and cities in South Kalimantan. Two candidate pairs for governor and deputy governor of South Kalimantan competed for votes again, namely, the incumbent candidate number 1 Sahbirin Noor-Muhidin and number 2 Denny Indrayana-Difriadi Derajat.

The Head of South Kalimantan Regional Police, Inspector General Rikwanto, said that his party wanted to gain the same success because it succeeded in securing the implementation of re-voting for the Mayor and Deputy Mayor in Banjarmasin City.

Re-voting in the Election Of The Governor Of South Kalimantan is planned to be held on June 9, 2021, with a final voter list of 266,757 people.

"I would like to express my gratitude to the people who have made the re-voting for the Mayor of Banjarmasin Election success. Alhamdulillah, everything went well, high community participation and safe conditions under control", he said.

According to him, the successful implementation of re-voting proves that the maturity of society in politics is getting better as expected at every democratic party.

"The enthusiasm of the community in giving their voting rights to come to the polling station is proof that the regional election is just a party that should be greeted with joy. Different choices are common things that are important to remain united in peace", explained Rikwanto.

The former head of Public Relations of Jakarta Metro Police assessed that all parties involved, including the TNI apparatus, from the process of distribution of regional election logistics to securing the polling stations, had been carried out according to the initial plan.

Even though there was no potential for upheaval to arise, Rikwanto emphasized that his party did not want to take risks, let alone underestimate them. So that every TPS guarded by two policemen is felt right at re-voting.

"The operation to secure the re-voting for the Mayor Banjarmasin Election for three days has ended. All members who were previously on standby have returned to their normal duties in their respective functional units, including the TNI who also made full backups", he said again.

For Banjarmasin city, it was held at all polling stations in South Banjarmasin District, namely as many as 301 polling stations.

Then the Banjar Regency consists of the Kontak Makmur District 27 polling stations, the Aluh-Aluh District 63 polling stations, the Martapura District 265 polling stations, the Mataraman District 62 polling stations, and the Astambul Districts 85 polling stations.

The Constitutional Court in its decision also ordered the re-voting to be held at 24 polling stations in Binuang District, Tapin Regency.
