JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government continues the Ciliwung River normalization project to overcome the impact of Jakarta floods. DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung has approved the determination of the location (penlok) for the land to be acquired.
Acting Head of the DKI Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Office, Ika Agustin Ningrum, said that there were three urban villages that had been determined to close them. Pengadegan Village, Pancoran District is the first area to carry out land acquisition this year.
"For the normalization of Ciliwung in the Pengadegan segment, the target land acquisition is completed this year. God willing, at the end of June we will start land acquisition," said Ika when met in Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta, Monday, May 19.
Selain Pengadegan, Pramono juga telah melakukan penlok di Kelurahan Cililitan dan Kelurahan Cawang, Kecamat Jati, Jakarta Timur.

The total budget needed to acquire Ciliwung normalization land during 2025 is IDR 182.7 billion.
The land acquisition for the normalization of Ciliwung is the task of the DKI Provincial Government. Meanwhile, the central government through the Ministry of Public Works is working on the construction of river embankments that have been normalized or widened.
