Police Aim For New Suspects In The Case Of Used Antigen Rapid Test By Kimia Farma

JAKARTA - The North Sumatra Regional Police are continuing to develop a case of alleged reuse of the antigen rapid test device at Kualanamu Airport, North Sumatra.

"We are still developing the possibility of other parties suspected of being the perpetrators," said North Sumatra Regional Police Chief Inspector General Panca Putra, in Medan, as reported by Antara Friday.

Kapolda said it did not rule out the possibility of a new suspect in the case of a health crime violation.

"It is possible that in the future the suspect's development is possible," he said.

Previously, the North Sumatra Regional Police revealed the case of using a used antigen rapid test kit at Kualanamu International Airport in Deli Serdang by officers of PT Kimia Farma Diagnostik which had been carried out since December 2020.

In this case, the North Sumatra Regional Police have named five suspects, each with the initials PM, DP, SP, MR and RN.

One of the suspects, with the initials PM, is the Acting Branch Manager of the Kimia Farma Laboratory in Medan, which is located on Jalan RA Kartini.

Meanwhile, the other four suspects are contract employees and casual daily laborers at Kimia Farma's office.
