Members Of The Cilegon Chamber Of Commerce And Industry Allegedly Ask For Project Allotment, Anin Bakrie Forms A Verification Team

JAKARTA - The Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) formed a verification and ethics team to respond to the viral angta Kadin Cilegon allegedly asking for a share of the project from PT Chandra Asri Alkali (CCA).

"This is right, so basically we at Kadin are forming and the verification and ethical team has started to see complaints and questions from the people in Cilegon," said Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Anindya Bakrie as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, May 13.

Anindya conveyed this when confirmed by Kadin in Cilegon, Banten, who allegedly asked for rations from entrepreneurs in the area.

He emphasized that his party had formed a verification and ethical team to respond to various questions and complaints from the public regarding the dynamics of the Kadin organization in the Cilegon area.

"Incidentally, I am also here with WKUK Pangan (Vice Chairperson of the Coordinator for Food at the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mulyadi Jayabaya) who is also from Banten, so we also look carefully," he said.

Kadin, according to Anin Bakrie, continues to focus on encouraging national trade and investment by upholding legal certainty and rejecting all forms of unlawful action and repressive approaches.

As a quick step, Kadin will hold a meeting with representatives of the Governor of Banten, BKPM and law enforcement officials to investigate issues that arise in the Cilegon City area.

Anin Bakrie assessed that the incident was more individual and was at the district/city level, so the settlement would be carried out through the synergy of the regional, provincial and central Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

"Essentially, we understand that 8 percent must be achieved and also economic growth must be achieved, investment must be entered and Kadin's job is to guard. So if there are things like that, it is more towards individuals and that's the level of district/city," he explained.

WKU for Law and Organization of Kadin will also be deployed to address issues wisely, quickly, and precisely according to the values of organizational governance that are healthy and professional.

Anindya reminded that such incidents could damage investor confidence, especially since Kadin has been actively promoting foreign investment in order to strengthen the national economy.

Kadin emphasized that Anin Bakrie has always been pro-business, pro-work field, and pro- regional empowerment, while still prioritizing firmness in maintaining the good name of organizations at the national level.

"But we also don't just want to see on social media, we want to meet in person. And indeed Kadin is big," he said.
