JAKARTA - Commemorating the 66th Anniversary of the Asian-African Conference (KAA), the KAA Museum located in Bandung, West Java echoes the tagline 'Museum for All', in order to create an inclusive museum, open to all people, including people with disabilities.

Realizing these values, the braile book and audiobook book 'The Bandung Connection' was launched, as well as the Museum for All: Four Decades of the KAA Museum, Wednesday, April 28, in the Main Room of the Merdeka Building-KAA Museum, Bandung, West Java.

Launching the official website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, this is the first time the history of the Asian-African Conference has been produced in a braille and voice book edition.

The selection of the book 'The Bandung Connection' as the first edition of the KAA history book in the format of a braille book and a voice book, was because this book was written by a KAA historical actor, Roeslan Abdulgani, who at that time served as Secretary General of the Asian-African Conference.

The step to create an inclusive museum for people with disabilities is in line with the mandate of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.

In addition, the museum's accessibility for people with disabilities continues to be equipped. Such as the Braille Corner at the KAA Museum Library, as well as various collections of audiobooks and collections of braille books.

Not to forget, this museum also provides educators with the ability to provide educational guidance services that are disability-friendly. Also, an educational program for people with disabilities run by the Friends of the KAA Museum.

It is planned that the braille book and the voice book 'The Bandung Connection' will be duplicated and donated to BLBI Abiyoso and Yayasan Mata Hati Indonesia, to be distributed to persons with disabilities in need. As well as supporting the preservation of KAA values among people with disabilities.
