COVID-19 Patients Translucent 2 Million People

JAKARTA - The number of positive patients with COVID-19 around the world is going fast. Tonight, the number of sufferers of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) has surpassed two million people.

Data from Johns Hopkins University, Wednesday, April 15, 2020, recorded 2,008,850 positive cases. It took 83 days for COVID-19 - since it first appeared-- to infect one million people on this planet. And to make matters worse, this virus only needs 14 days later to be able to double the figure to touch the two million mark.

There are 129,045 people died due to the ferocity of this virus. Fortunately, the death rate is still less than the number of patients who recovered as many as 502,389 people.

This virus that does not have a vaccine does not know the status when it infects someone. Starting from Prince Charles, musicians, ministers, all can be infected.

The distribution is evenly distributed throughout the earth. More than half of them are on the European Continent. However, the United States is the most vulnerable country for this virus to spread. There were 610,774 recorded positive cases in this superpower country.

All countries immediately adopted rules of keeping your distance and staying at home. Some have succeeded in reducing the rate of spread. However, not a few countries are still having difficulty controlling the rate of increase in cases.

The economies of many countries were destroyed. However, some people are enjoying increasing wealth from their line of business. One of them, Amazon CEO, Jeff Bezos. His pockets are getting thicker by 24 billion dollars during this coronavirus pandemic.
