Witness Called The Shooter At The Night Entertainment Place Wearing The Black Ojol Jacket, Watching The Situation

Samarinda Police, East Kalimantan, is hunting for the shooter at a nightclub, on Jalan Imam Bonjol, Samarinda, early Sunday, which resulted in the death of one person.

"At around 04.30 WITA, right near the gate of the nightclub, there was a shooting with the autopsy results completed on Sunday afternoon showing five gunshot scars on the victim's body," said Samarinda Police Chief Kombes Hendri Umar in Samarinda, East Kalimantan, Antara, Sunday, May 4.

The victim had the initials D. Police found two projectiles around the scene and three other projectiles lodged in the victim's body.

"This is in line with our findings in the field," he added.

Currently, the Samarinda Police, assisted by the Jatanras Sub-Directorate of the Crime Directorate of the East Kalimantan Police, is conducting an intensive investigation to identify and arrest the shooter.

Regarding the type of weapon used, Hendri Umar has not provided certainty.

From the temporary check, his party suspected that the gun used was a homemade weapon. However, for the type and caliber, his party is still waiting for further examination results from the Forensic Laboratory. Temporary estimate, the caliber of the weapon used is around 8 to 9 mm.

Hendri Umar appealed to people who have information regarding this incident or identify the perpetrators to immediately contact the nearest police station.

Based on the information gathered, the victim is known to work as an entrepreneur. On the night of the incident, the victim came to the nightclub with his family members around 20.00 WITA and left at around 04.15 WITA.

Based on the results of the interim investigation, the police did not find any conflict involving the victim in the nightclub.

An eye witness at the scene, AG, had seen someone with the characteristics of wearing a black online motorcycle jacket, black helmet, mask, gloves, and black trousers, pacing back and forth in front of the location using a black and white Honda motorcycle before the incident.

"He went back and forth like monitoring. He shot the victim and ran towards Jalan Ahmad Dahlan," said AG.

The witness added that when the victim came out of the nightclub and walked towards his parked car, the perpetrator immediately grabbed the victim on a motorbike and shot four times.

"The perpetrator shot while still on the motorbike. The last shot was up, people panicked and dispersed," he explained.

The victim, lying unconscious, was then rushed to the hospital by local residents.
