JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung said the DKI Provincial Government would extend the operational time of museums and libraries in Jakarta. The plan, museums and libraries will be opened until 23.00 WIB.
"We will open the museum, not only until 5 pm. Including the library, we will open the library until the evening maybe 10 o'clock or 11 o'clock (night)," said Pramono at DKI Jakarta City Hall, Friday, May 2.
According to Pramono, the extension of museum operating hours to libraries provides opportunities for students and youth in Jakarta to be more free in supporting their learning needs.
"We will do it immediately because this is part of providing education and also opportunities for children in need to be in the library. That's what we convey," Pramono explained.
In addition, Pramono revealed that the DKI Provincial Government during 2025 will release diplomas on 6,652 students who have been detained by the school because they are still in arrears of tuition fees until graduation.
"The government must be present in handling the problem so that students can immediately get a diploma that is very much needed for their future," said Pramono.

Today, the DKI Provincial Government released 488 student diplomas that have been detained by the school because they are still in arrears in education costs until graduation. This diploma has been carried out in two stages.
The first stage of bleaching the diploma was carried out on 117 students some time ago. Today, the second phase of diploma redeeming for 371 students coincided with the 2025 National Education Day (Hardiknas) commemoration ceremony.
"A total of 488 students have received a diploma bleaching program worth Rp1.69 billion. Hopefully this will be useful for students whose diplomas have been withheld so far," he said.
Pramono said that the redeeming of this diploma was one of the programs outlined from his campaign promise during the 2024 Pilkada. Pramono sees that until now there are still many young people who cannot work because their diplomas are still being held at school.
"Earlier I asked them, some of whose diplomas were held for three years to five years because they had not paid the fees. In essence, this diploma was not taken because they could not afford it," said Pramono.
