Parangtritis Name Becomes Wine Brand, Bantul Regency Government Launches Objection Letter

DIY - Bantul Regency Government (Pemkab) in the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY) sent an objection letter to employers regarding the use of the name Parangtritis as a brand of wine which is currently viral on social media (social media)

"Regional governments related to Parangtritis green wine which is currently circulating and viral, submit an objection letter to using the name Parangtritis as a green wine brand," said Bantul Deputy Regent Aris Suharyanto in Bantul, Wednesday, April 23, as reported by Antara.

According to him, the wine from Mr. Jenggot's product that is currently viral is Kaliurang's red wine and Parangtritis green wine. Related to this, the Bantul Regency Government also received complaints from various community organizations (ormas) in the Bantul area.

"For two days we received complaints from several religious organizations including MUI (Indonesian Ulema Council), NU (Nahdatul Ulama), PDM (Muslim Regional Leaders), Pokdarwis (tourism awareness groups), cultural councils and several community leaders," he said.

His own party does not know the cause or why there is Kaliurang red wine, one of the locations in Sleman Regency, then Parangtritis green wine, which is located in Bantul Regency.

"However, in essence they are religious organizations and pokdarwis objected that the name Parangtritis was used for the brand of a wine drink, so we have to prepare the letter," he said.

According to him, the objection letter is actually ready on Tuesday, April 22, but because the Bantul Regent only arrived in Bantul on Tuesday night from a working visit in Jakarta, it is targeted that by Wednesday, April 23, he has signed.

Furthermore, he said that the Parangtritis green wine brand is still new, so his party believes that the product has not been circulated in Parangtritis, let alone Bantul Regency, but the Regency Government has firmly expressed objections.

"Karena itu hal baru saya yakin belum banyak beredar, dan kita bertanyakan ke Satpol PP juga belum tahu sampai angkatannya, jadi kita belum bisa dengan terma akan menarik produk, karena kita belum memetakan produk itu sudah beredar atau belum," katanya.

"But what is clear is that we will write for the objection first on Parangtritis Beach, and secondly circulating in Bantul Regency," he said.
