JAKARTA - Police in Malaysia are hunting for a group of men armed with machetes carrying out a robbery of female flower shop consumers in Jenjarom, Kuala Langat, Monday, April 22.

Deputy police chief Kuala Langat DSP Mohd Sufian Amin said the investigation was based on the victim's report at 16.50 yesterday after claiming to have been robbed at 13.30.

Based on reports, the victim explained that a group of men with heads covered and armed with machetes boarded a white Proton Saga car into a flower shop.

"One of them directed a machete at him, before seizing the gold necklace worth RM4,000 (around Rp53.8 million) which he wore and then fled," said Sufian, Tuesday, April 22, quoted from Bernama.

Sufian said the victim was robbed while with his son at the shop. Both were not injured.

He said the police conducted an investigation into this case based on Article 395/397 of the Criminal Code.

Sufian asked people who have information about this case to report it to the nearest police station in Malaysia.
