Serang Police Reveals Motives For Lovers Mutilation, Triggered By Pressure To Marry

SERANG - The motive for the perpetrator of the murder with mutilation against the victim, a woman with the initials SA (19) was revealed by the police. The perpetrator, the man with the initials ML (23) who is the victim's lover, told the incident in Ciberuk Village, Gunungsari, Pabuaran, Serang Regency, Banten.

Kasatreskrim Polresta Serang Kota Kompol Salahuddin in Serang, Sunday, said that the murder occurred when the perpetrator picked up the victim at his grandfather's house, Ciomas, on Sunday (13/4) at around 12.00 WIB to go eat meatballs.

However, in the middle of the trip, the victim asked the perpetrator to immediately marry her because she was pregnant.

"The perpetrator admitted that he was annoyed because the victim kept pressing him to trigger emotions," he said, quoting ANTARA, April 20.

The victim was then taken to the rubber plantation area, far from residential areas, under the pretext of discussing the victim's pregnancy. However, the perpetrator even strangled the victim with the victim's veil until he fainted.

"The victim was then pushed from the top of the cliff, then strangled again to death," he said.

The perpetrator then went home to take a machete. Not long after, the perpetrator returned to the location to mutilate the victim's body.

The body part, he continued, was then put in a white sack and then thrown into the river. At that time the victim's main body was covered with banana leaves and firewood at the scene.

"The perpetrator has now been detained at the Serang City Police Satreskrim Office to undergo the legal process," said Kasatreskrim.

For the actions of the perpetrators, said Kompol Salahuddin, they were subject to Article 338 of the Criminal Code regarding murder.
