GARUT - The Garut Resort Police are further investigating the findings of the body of a man with the initials YS (56) who is known to be positive for COVID-19. The victim was found in one of the lodging rooms located on Jalan Merdeka, Garut Regency, West Java.
Head of the Public Relations Sub Division of the Garut Police, Ipda Muslih Hidayat, said that YS was registered as a resident of Antapani District, Bandung City. The case is being investigated by the Garut Police Criminal Investigation Unit.
"Actions taken to process the scene of the case, request information from witnesses in coordination with the Garut Police Criminal Investigation Unit Identification Unit and the COVID-19 Task Force", said Muslih, as reported by Antara, Wednesday, April 28.
The body was first found by the inn clerk on Tuesday, April 27 at around 23.00 p.m. local time. He was several times called by officers, YS did not respond.
