Social Minister Reports To President Already Salurkan Social Assistance Rp18 Trillion

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Social Affairs (Kemensos) reported to President Prabowo Subianto that it had distributed social assistance (bansos) in the first three months of 2025 amounting to IDR 18 trillion.

"The distribution is every three months, in the first quarter, in the second quarter, and in the third quarter, and in the fourth quarter," said Social Minister Saifullah Yusuf as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, April 9.

The distribution of social assistance, continued the Minister of Social Affairs, will refer to the National Sole Social Economy Data (DTSEN) starting April 2025, with a total budget of more than Rp120 trillion.

The distribution is through government-owned banks or Himbara as well as PT Pos Indonesia with a disbursement fee of IDR 97 billion.

"Since Indonesia's independence, at the beginning of the President Prabowo's government we already had DTSEN, which is the first time since Indonesia's independence," added the Minister of Social Affairs.

In addition, there is also a budget for the Non-Cash Food Assistance (BPNT) program of IDR 43.86 trillion which is given to 18.27 million Beneficiary Families (KPM).

Meanwhile, through the Family Hope Program (PKH), the Ministry of Social Affairs targets 10 million KPM, with a budget ceiling of IDR 28.79 trillion.

Furthermore, the aid budget for 294,000 orphans is IDR 705.6 billion.

The Ministry of Social Affairs also budgets for food programs for the elderly aged over 75 years every day.

"Every day we give breakfast and lunch, twice, once sent at breakfast to 136,000 beneficiaries. The total amount is IDR 74.76 trillion," he said.

The government also, he continued, provided BPJS Kesehatan contribution assistance to 96.8 million people. The budget for BPJS Health contribution assistance is IDR 48.78 trillion.

"If you add more than Rp120 trillion, that's from the Ministry of Social Affairs," said the Minister of Social Affairs.
