Prabowo Defends Police: Often Tarnished, Blamed Even Though Hard Work

JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto defended the police who were later in the public spotlight. He said, many forget their hard work, especially during the last Eid homecoming moment.

This was conveyed by Prabowo when giving a speech during a dialogue with economic actors in Jakarta. Initially, Prabowo said that the 2025 Eid homecoming went smoothly.

"The homecoming and homecoming event went well, smoothly and was an achievement that was reported to me by the largest homecoming flow so far, bigger than last year but without significant congestion," said Prabowo, Tuesday, April 8.

Not only that, Prabowo also said the number of accidents had dropped drastically. "30 percent lower in accidents than last year," he said.

These various achievements, continued Prabowo, were said to be the result of the hard work of all parties. The police, which has often been considered negative by the community.

"The police who are often abused are often blamed even though they are in the heat of the sun without us realizing they are working hard to regulate traffic," said the former Minister of Defense.

"I take this opportunity to express my appreciation. Sometimes if people do good, they never say thank you and never remember. If people make mistakes, they are never forgotten, what is wrong is remembered and the good does not want to be commented on," concluded Prabowo.
