CCTV At Salemba Buram Detention Center, Difficult To Detect Visitors' Faces, Karutan Will Evaluate

JAKARTA - The Criminal Investigation Unit of the Cempaka Putih Police is investigating CCTV footage in the Class 1 Jakarta Central Jakarta Detention Center (Rutan) Salemba related to the investigation of methamphetamine and ecstasy smuggling in a brown folder.

"CCTV is currently under investigation. It's just that the screenshot is a bit broken when zoomed in," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Cempaka Putih Police, AKP Yossy Januar to reporters, Monday, March 24.

However, the police are still investigating the CCTV footage. In addition, there were also CCTV footage when the perpetrator entered the Salemba Rutan.

"But there were documents when he walked in and when he came out, we were still investigating," he said.

Meanwhile, the Head of Class 1 of Central Jakarta Salemba, Wahyu Trah Utomo, said that his party would evaluate the CCTV at the Salemba Rutan.

"We will evaluate CCTV, if necessary we add more. Then we will strengthen the resolution because it is possible that this kind of effort will repeat itself in the future. CCTV will be added to highlight guests and all kinds of things," he said.

Previously, it was reported that the smuggling mode of hundreds of millions of methamphetamine and ecstasy was carried by an unknown person (OTK) at the Class 1 detention center of Central Jakarta, Salemba, which is still under investigation by the Cempaka Putih Police on Monday, March 24.

Based on CCTV footage, the perpetrator is known to be a man. He entered the Salemba Rutan on the grounds that he would take care of his parole (PB) and brought a paper bag containing a brown folder containing methamphetamine and ecstasy.

The narcotics are stored in a folder coated with 2 blank papers and covered with a red folder. Then put it in a brown folder and taken with a jejing bag made of red batik motif paper.
