Lebaran 2025, The Number Of Passengers At Kualanamu Airport Is Projected To Increase By 5 Percent

Ahead of Eid, the manager of Kualanamu International Airport, Deli Serdang, North Sumatra, projects that the number of passengers during the 2025 Eid Transport will increase by about five percent compared to 2024.

"The implementation of the 2025 Eid Transport will take 22 days from March 21 to April 11, 2025," said President Director of PT Angkasa Pura Aviasi Yosrizal Syamsuri in Deli Serdang, North Sumatra, quoted from ANTARA, Saturday, March 22.

Data from PT Angkasa Pura Aviasi as the manager of Kualanamu International Airport, he continued, the realization of the Eid 2024 transportation period was recorded as 499,755 passengers.

The number of passengers during the 2025 Eid Transport is projected to be 507,605 people or an increase of about five percent.

PT Angkasa Pura Aviasi has always established good coordination and communication for all stakeholders in the international airport area.

"This is the goal so that the implementation of activities during the Eid 2025 Transportation Post goes well," said Yosrizal.

His party stated that the peak of the 2025 Lebaran homecoming flow is estimated to occur on March 28, 2025 or D-3 with a total of 28,416 passengers.

Meanwhile, the peak return flow for Eid al-Fitr 2025 is estimated to occur on April 8 or D+7 with a total of around 25,789 passengers.

"During the 2025 Eid Transport, it is recorded that there are currently extra flights from Singapore Airlines (KNO-SIN-KNO) and Pelita Air (KNO-CGK-KNO) airlines," he explained.

His party has also held an assembly for the 2025 Eid Transport Command Post indicating the readiness of Kualanamu International Airport to welcome travelers to the holiday season of Eid al-Fitr 1446 H.

"In addition, an integrated command post was also formed for the integration of all parties, as well as a monitoring post for data input, zoom meetings for postal activities," said Yosrizal.

Minister of Transportation (Menhub) Dudy Purwagandhi inaugurated the 2025 Eid Transport Center Command Post, ensuring public travel and mobility during Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr 1446 Hijriah which are safe, comfortable and smooth.

The Minister of Transportation in his remarks, in Jakarta, Friday, said that this post will be present to help the community from March 23 to April 11, 2025.

"Today marks the start of the operation of the 2025 Eid Transport Center Post which will last for 22 days. This is an important moment as a joint effort to make homecoming safe, comfortable, and safe for all Indonesian people," said the Minister of Transportation.

"Together with this highly anticipated moment of happiness, there are big challenges that we will face, namely ensuring smoothness and safety of travel during this Eid period," concluded Dudy.
