Bali High Prosecutor's Office investigators conducted a search at the Buleleng Regency Investment and One Stop Integrated Service Office (DPMPTSP), Friday after the Head of the DPMPTSP I Made Kuta (IMK) was named a suspect in the alleged extortion case.
"The search was carried out in connection with the determination of the IMK suspect," said Head of the Legal Information Section of the Bali Attorney General's Office, Putu Agus Eka Sabana Putra, Friday, March 21.
Investigators conducted searches from 10.00 to 14.00 WITA. Not only at the Buleleng DPMPTSP, investigators also continued their search at the Buleleng Regency Public Works and Spatial Planning (PUTR) until 17.08 WITA.
From the searches at the two offices, investigators confiscated a document box, including several documents for approval of the building (PBG) and other documents and confiscated cell phones allegedly related to the crime.
"In addition to conducting searches, investigators also conducted investigations on several employees related to the confiscated documents," said Eka Sabana.
He said that after the determination of the IMK suspect, it was possible for another suspect to appear in the case.
Previously, on Thursday (20/3), the Bali Special Prosecutor's Office investigators named the Head of the Buleleng Regency DPMPTSP I MadeKuta (IMK) as a suspect in the alleged extortion of subsidized house developers in Buleleng.
Based on sufficient evidence in the form of witness statements, experts and other evidence, investigators concluded that the IMK was suspected of extorting the subsidized house developer.
With the reason to finance government needs, IMK is suspected of having asked PKKPR/KKKPR and PBG applicants to pay some money.

Eka Sabana said the total amount of money that the IMK suspect had collected was around Rp. 2 billion in the period 2019-2024.
"If the permit applicants do not pay the amount of money requested by the suspect, the licensing process is hampered or complicated by the IMK as Head of the Buleleng DPMPTSP Service," he said.
The actions of the IMK suspect are considered by investigators to be able to hinder the housing development program for low-income people (subsidized houses).
